New Ultraviolet Overhead Track Lighting System

Spectronics Corporation has introduced the new ONT-365 On Trak NDT Inspection System.

This overhead track light-style modular system utilizes powerful UV-A and white light LEDs attached to a mountable platform for maximum flexibility and versatility. It is ideal for use in NDT inspection booths, and for pre-inspections and screening applications requiring maximum uniformity of coverage over a large area.

The ONT-365 system features four broad-beam lamp heads. Each has three ultra-high-flux UV-A (365nm) LEDs for NDT inspection and one white light LED for general illumination. This unique lighting system allows inspectors to move the lamp heads anywhere along the tracks so that beam patterns can be made to fit specific needs. Lamp heads can even be added for increased area coverage.

The ONT-365 light sources produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 9,000 µW/cm² at 15 inches (38 cm). An optional attenuating filter is available for reduced intensity applications. Electronic Intensity Stabilizers ensure consistent UV LED performance during extended use, and built-in cooling fans moderate temperature. The “instant on” operation of the lamps enables them to reach full intensity immediately. The LEDs have a rated life of 30,000 hours.

The ONT-365 system comes complete with UVS-30 UV-absorbing spectacles. Additional lamp heads and an optional remote control with a three-position rocker switch are sold separately.
